Fighting Tradition...

Apparently I lost the memo about even though it's the 21st century we can't break from tradition. Or an I the only person who thinks that the BM's dresses don't have to match the reception decor. Besides if their in completely different colors you'll actually be able to spot them. Ugg This close to the wedding this stuff is hurting my head. This is why i was hesitant to bring family in on the decorating.

Are any of your girls married or getting married having/had this issue?

    I don't think they have to match the reception decor, but also don't pick a color that clashes with your decor.  It should all flow together....try doing some accents with 3 colors - 2 as your primary for decor and 1 as the accent (the bridesmaids dresses in this case) where you can then add in the accent with little pops of color to bring it all together.

    We used 3 colors at the wedding, white, blue, and silver.  White was my accent, and silver and blue the main colors.  All of the tables in the room had blue tablecloths but the headtable, so that the girls would not blend in.  We did silver for the headtable, which matched the sashes on the chairs in the rest of the room.   Doing something like that might be a compromise?
