Hotel Wedding Block Help!

Hello!  We are planning a Chicago wedding in November, and we have a LOT of out of town guests.  We are getting married at The Blackstone Hotel and they gave us 15 rooms for Saturday and Sunday and 5 rooms for Thursday and Sunday night.  Since many of our guests are making such a travel commitment to come, they want to stay longer than just the weekend, but with only five rooms at the Blackstone they are quickly full.  Any suggestions of hotels you have worked with for a wedding block?  We want to offer different levels of pricing, but we really want our guests in the city.  Currently we have a couple of rooms at the Hard Rock Hotel.  Any other ideas?!

Thanks!

I suggest you go to a website such as hotels.com, enter the zip for the Blackstone then specify a date range and price range. This will let you pair down the options in the area by star rating, price, availability, and location. I hope that helps you.

    Best Wishes!

Do not go with Inn of Chicago.

We used a couple because like you we had a ton of out-of-towners heading to Chicago. The Marriott Mag Mile was our home base.

If you call a big hotel like the Marriott or Hyatt, they should be able to help you block within their hotel and the larger hotel group - all of their Chicago properties. That should lessen the amount of calls you have to make. Have you asked the Blackstone give you more rooms?

We just stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Greektown - really modern and nice. I think we paid $99 for the night (We were there with a wedding).

Holiday Inn Mart Plaza is great. Suprisingly reasonable for how updated and modern it is.

The Hyatt Regency Chicago gave us great rates, and it's centrally located.  Good experience with them start to finish.  I think it was $129/ night for Friday and Saturday.
