How long for hair and makeup?

Hey Everyone,
So I didn't know which board to post on, but I was wondering about the timing of things. How long does it usually take to get hair and makeup done for me and 6 bridesmaids (not sure who we're using yet, but just a general timeline would be appreciated)...trying to figure out what time to have the wedding. THanks!

    Well, when my friend/co-worker Sam does it (and she's quite good), that many would probably take approximately 3 hours. I'd email her and ask (and if you don't have  a MUA yet, ask her prices!). Tell her I sent you her way :) (she misses me since I'm on vacay :P)

    We used Beauty on Location by Liz. We had 2 people (one did hair and the other did makeup) and they started around 10 am; we were done by 2 pm which gave us plenty of time to get everyone gathered up and make the 45 minute drive to the location and be there by 4. We had 6 people get their MU done and 4 get their hair done.
    I was very nervous about the timeline, so we definitely had some cushion in here. If you have 2 people doing the work, I would say for you plus 6 BM, I would allow at least 4 hours, but probably 5 just in case.

    We had two people doing hair/make up.  Started at 10 for hair  (but she did 9 ladies-MOB, MOG, Grandma, etc) and noon for makeup (for 3BMs + me).  We were done around 3 (with makeup and BMs and mine's hair) and that gave us PLENTY of time.  My ceremony didn't start until 7.

    I would ask your beauty people what they recommend and then cushion it by an hour so you won't stress for time.
