The Brial Registry -- won a honeymoon?

Received a call from a company called "the bridal registry" today. They said that I was chosen to win a free gift of crystal toasting glasses and either a 3 day 2 night all-inclusive honeymoon or a wedding band package. I was pretty skeptical. She said that they had my wedding date listed at oct 2012, immediately I knew they must have gotten my info from David's bridal because they have had my wedding date wrong the entire time we have worked with them for bridesmaid dresses despite multiple corrections. She said it wasn't a timeshare and she didn't need my credit card number. Supposedly, all we have to do is show up at a cooking demonstration they're hosting at a hotel in town and sit through a presentation and we are able to claim our gifts afterwards. Im sure the reason we have to ait through the presentation is so that they can at least attempt to get us to buy something. She claimed I wouldnt have to buy anything to get my gift though. Googled it and I'm getting conflicting information. Has anyone actually went to one of these?

    I GOT THE EXACT SAME CALL ON WEDNESDAY!!! I live in NC, and they asked me to show up for a culinary demonstration. I had her send me the info and everything. The Knot advertises this honeymoon thing too. So IDK! we may go, and I will tell you all what happened!

    I know I'm late, but I just wanted to speak on this. I just recieved a call as well. My fiance believes it's a scam. The only thing that gives me up is my brother and his fiance (girlfriend at the time) have won plenty of vacations!! They too had to sit through a 90 minute presentation, and they were also  approached to buy certain products (but they didn't) and they recieved their vouchers for their trips. They have been to miami, daytona, orlando they also informed me that they stayed in a nice resort in one place and another it looked like a roach infested hotel on the outside but was gorgeous inside. They only difference with my offer and theirs is that mine is All Inclusive to go to Mexico or the Bahamas. Yes I do have to pay for my airfare. I asked about other places and she told me they do offer them, they just not all inclusive they will only pay the hotel fee. So we scheduled a date. We not doing anything so what the heck...we're going to go check it out. They are also offering a free dinner for the 2 of us and we can bring up to 3 guest. I called the hotel to see if they had anything going on and they do. So what the heck...we aren't paying anything to be there so what are we losing besides our time.

    So did you end up going? How did it turn out? I got the call today, and my fiance also thinks it's likely a scam, and I can't really tell from what I've read online. If all you have to do is sit through a cooking demo, then that's fine, I understand they need to make their money somehow, and I don't think that is a "scam." But if you end up not really getting the vacation or having to pay a lot of hidden fees, then I don't want to bother with it. All of the positive reviews that I've read online were from people that went to the show but not the trip yet, so I'm curious if the trip ever really materializes.

    I would really like to know if anyone has actually done this... I just got a phone call from them... the lady did not tell me I had to go to a presentation tho just that I have to go to raleigh to "pick it up"
