    It's not working so well, I am pretty upset, but my sister and I are not close, and it shouldn't be a surprise that she would need to be the center of attention (her mo all our lives).

    Currently my parents wont be at my wedding and two of my siblings are taking my sister up on her free flight and hotel rooms in England. Super frustrating, but I am trying to focus on those that will be with us, it's about us getting married not who is there, that's my mantra anyways...

    They are going to hers instead. She set her date one month ago, and the guy she's marrying is loaded, so his family is paying for all the airfair, etc.. My parents think it's more important to my sister for them to be there.

    i told my H about this story and he wants to meet your sister lol. we've come up with a story that makes her a little less-crazy....we hope that's the case, and not that she is just out to get you.

    our story is: her rich FMIL says "you must get married on X date if you want us to pay for everything and inherit billions of dollars from us. your other choice is to pay for your own puny wedding and be disowned as a DIL".....

    That's all I could comoe up with, but jennlin's thery makes more sense than these. This is pretty much batpoop insane. Be careful, emilysiegel, or someone will try to turn your wedding into a reality TV show.

    You ladies are cracking me up! I wish it was one of those scenerios, but nope, his family wanted a summer wedding, she chose the date on her own accord, claims she is not pregnant, he is a scientist (not for the military), and as far as I know since he has a 2 year work contract his visa is good to go... As much as I hate to think it, she really did just pick the date to be a bitch, when I asked her what would posess her to pick my wedding date, her response was that she was not aware that I owned October 9th, and she liked the date, shouldn't have to ask my permission, and that is that.
