She took the time to create a custom package based on our wants, needs and budget. Derek her Matire 'D was on his game day of. Our experience here was wonderful. Everyone raved about the hotel, it is gorgeous! The food was outstanding. You would never know it was mass produced wedding food. The hotel rooms for our guests, great! They even had a great tool that I could use to track who was booking, so I could make others aware of how many rooms were left, and for them to stop procrastinating and book one already. They took care of us like royalty! The hotel brunch the next day, I'm not sure if it was worth the money, but good food, especially the crumb cake!

I knew I wanted to book them as soon as we met Allan and his wife Vicki at a bridal show at Anthony's Pier 9. Upon booking them, we completed our engagement shoot in Cold Spring (beautiful!) where we were able to get to know and feel comfortable. They created a great guest book for the wedding out of these photos. The day of the wedding, they were there from beginning to end. The "getting ready" shots through the last dance. I can't wait to get the proofs!

I didn't necessarily know what I wanted for my flowers. I visited several florists who did not impress me, but actually pushed me away by their lack of attention and personality. This was NOT the case here at Bassett. The wedding specialist I worked with ended up leaving the area, but I never once worried when Brooks took over. He took care of everything to a "T." The flowers were perfect, they even took a few extra steps when I asked for specific ribbons for the flowers. Great florist, I now use them for everything!

We used the DJ Company for our DJ services, day of coordinator and photo booth. All of which were amazing. I worked primarily with Ryan, who bent over backwards to ensure we had a great wedding. From ceremony to reception, Ryan worked with us for every song recomendation. They have their own, "we do not play unless
you specifically request it" list so even if you're guest request's and you forgot to put it on your do not play list, you won't end up with the Electric Slide or Cha Cha Slide. Our DJ and MC, Kevin and Mike were on point the entire night creating the atmosphere we were looking for. And the photo booth was a big hit, the attendant did a great job in working with our guests to fill out the photo album. I can't wait to get the disc of all the pics from the night! Oh, and the uplighting! Set the stage for the evening, a gorgeous reception!

Hendrick Gil Makeup, Rockland County A+Makeup is one thing worth the splurge. Hendrick's expertise here was in a big blinking neon sign. He was wonderful. He took care of myself as the bride, as well as all the bridesmaids, moms and jr bridesmaid. Watching the transformation was amazing with each face. The makeup didn't budge 2 days later!

Andrea did the hair for my entire bridal party. She began with a consult where she was able to add extensions to my order. When the extensions came in, they matched perfectly. Upon trying a few ideas she and I had, we finally settled on the right one! My hair does not typically hold when styled...not a problem! It barely moved all night! A wonderful job!!

Le Petite Gateau "the little cake" Park Ridge NJ A+the cake was included with our contract at the Pearl River Hilton. We went to the bakery for our conuslt and tasting. Everything was great! We ended up choosing a different flavor for each layer because we couldn't decide!
Davids Bridal, Spring Valley B+I am not big on the dress thing, it's just not me. I actually wanted to rent one but that's not easy to find. Anyways, I tried dresses on, on 2 separate occasions. My 1st consultant was Natalie. She was wonderful! I ended up after both days chosing the 1st dress I tried on. I then had my alterations done there, which were done very well, and timely. The only reason I gave a B+ was because of the spam I got in my email after purchasing from them, and the store just seemed outdated. Not necessarily dirty, but old.
Officiant Kevin Clark Jr A+We actually had a friend officiate for us. He does public speaking at work all the time, so that wasn't a worry. He actually had people coming up to him the rest of the night complimenting him on his voice and how he should go into a vocal business like radio or commercials. Haha!

New York Sports Club, West Nyack A+++If you are looking to shape up and lose a few for the wedding, this is the place to do it. The classes are great, espeically the Spinning and Zumba. I worked with two personal trainers there, Mario and Karissa. They were both great. Karissa used Cross Fit with me. I loved it!
El Dorado Seaside Suites, Rivera Maya A+
Our honeymoon was great, with the exception of Hurrican Rina wanting to make an appearance. The food at all of the restaurants, and there were 7, was great! We didn't go to two, we didn't go to Mexico to eat Asian or Italian, but the ones we did go to were amazing. The beach = gorgeous! I always thought beach beds were a little wierd, but it's so nice to lay in the sun a little more comfortably than the hard sand. Even with the threat of the hurricane, the resort staff were on their game immediately. They did a great job in hurricane prep. The activities staff was outstanding, even when running things on the fly when other things were closing down! I would go back in a heart beat!
Now, I know things are all rated highly, but honestly there's nothing that went wrong. With the exception of it being a little cloudy and a chill in the air later that evening, a whole lot of awesomeness!!
