I have too much else to do right now, so I just decided to buy a survival kit. I made sure to get one that had double sided tape, safety pins, bobby pins, lint roller, and fake rings. I'm not sure what else is in it.
In addition to what bmore said, I also plan on including deodorant, mints or mouthwash, scissors, a mini sewing kit, band aids, nail file, oil blotting sheets, large hand held mirror (for pictures), and lipstick or lip gloss. I heard having super glue or white chalk (for stains) is helpful too.
Bmore - Where did you buy your survival kit? I'm at the point that I don't have time to think of all the small things and am considering buying one to make it easier.
Thanks! Something someone told me was packing tape! They said it worked great for fixing hems and stuff like that. Apparently it holds stronger. And a Tide to Go stick!!
To add to the original question, where do plan to put all this stuff and where will you be keeping it throughout the day?? Thats what I'm more unsure about lol
I might buy a small one to bring with me to the chuch / keep at my mom's house while we are getting ready. I will bring a larger one to the venue the Wednesday before with the rest of my stuff that will go in to my dressing area.
Nati, I will basically be bringing it around with me throughout the day. I'll have it with me in my hotel room when I'm getting ready, then bring it to the church to keep in the bridal lounge where I'll be hanging out before/after the ceremony. Then I'll take it with me to the reception venue. The coordinator there is giving me a private bathroom for me to stow personal items in safely, so it'll go in there (along with my after party dress and emergency shoes).
Hopefully I'll remember to take it with me each time we switch locations! My DOC will have some similar things JIC I forget the pack, though.
I am going to buy all of my stuff at this store called Harmons.
I am going to include. white chalk-for grass stains on dress shout wipes deodarant for both myself and FI safety pins bobby pins hair spray oil wipes floss scissors tissues mints band aides lotion powder antacid stuff ibuprofen
I'm keeping mine in a small bag or clutch and let my MOH keep up with it at reception. I'll keep stuff close by at the church for quick touch ups after the ceremony before we do pictures.
Re: DIY Wedding Day Survival Kit
The store also has bigger and (I think) smaller versions, as well as kits you can get for MOG/MOB/GROOM/BMs etc.
