How much are you budgeting for your DJ?

I'm in contact with two DJ's, one I have actually met before at another wedding. This one I am meeting next week seems lively and a bit younger than the first one I know of. Both are the same price anyway. DJ Carroll Higgins, and DJ Marc Wilner. Not sure if the price I would pay is too excessive or reasonable for the DC area.

    I'm spending $1200 but mine is on NYE and coming down from NYC.  I've seen some earlier discussions in this group about DJs and there have been a few recos that are under $1k.

    Mine is $1300 so that might be a bit on the high side.

    We are in Northern VA and the 2 DJs we met with were $900 and $950. Not too shabby and we loved them both.
