Catching up and just saw your post below. Can you get a nanny and factor out the SIL/sharing part that fell through? That was our Plan B when Plan A (spot in daycare) had us still on the waiting list when my maternity leave ran out. (Note: we are still on the waiting list and have now been there for >1 yr.) Aside from us learning that she's more of an AW than her interview or references suggested, which I can live with, it's worked well for us.
