Tuesday's Question!

I was in the ER last night for stomach pain.. might need surgery, but I hope not. I will keep you guys posted.

So since we went over the worst thing yesterday, let's ask something more positive today. What is your something blue going to be? Do you believe in the tradtion of something new, blue, and borrowed? How is this going to fit in your wedding, or if you are scrapping the idea, what will you do instead?

Maybe TMI, but I got some really nice blue undies to go under my dress. THey were on sale at frederick's. FI gave his seal of approval.

I have no idea what the borrowed will be, but most likely it will be jewelry. If I use a veil, it will be borrowed from a friend, but I haven't decided yet.

    Everything else is new.

That is terrible. I pray you will not have to have surgery. So sending positive thoughts your way.

To answer the question(s)...I do not have anything blue, borrowed, new or the sixpence yet. I do have my old. It is a very delicate necklace that was my great grandmothers. I have worn it before to my First Holy Communion and Confirmation. I have always wanted to wear it on my wedding day.

Erollis-- Thank you for the positive thoughts! I can certainly use them-- and you are not a ditz--- I get confused with all the abreviations and code words for things on here too.  :)

My shoes are my something blue:

Something borrowed- My mom's diamond earrings.
Something old- My florist is attaching my great-grandmother's locket to the bouquet.
    Something new- everything else.

I hope you feel better soon and do not need surgery.  That sounds scary to have to deal with.

I also just bought blue undies that say "Bride" on them that I was planning to wear.  But I was thinking that I might have to come up with a different something blue if I am going to be able to respond to anyone who asks me what my something blue is on the wedding day.  I know I could always say I decided not to follow that tradition, but I'm afraid I'd be giggling about my secret blue underwear.  :)

You ladies are the sweetest! Thank you for caring!  What are these carrie bradshaw shoes that you are talking about? They sound interesting!! Did they cost you an arm and a leg?

You could go old school with the answer Misty-- you could just say my britches~!~ lol
Yea you might want to get a little something just in case, because I am sure they will ask.

Blue- I had rhinestones on the bottom of my shoes with our initials and a heart. (This was a fun DIY project!)

Borrowed and Old- My great grandmother and grandmother's wedding rings were tied to my bouquet. (My mom keeps them, but I borrowed them from her and they're old.)

    New- Dress, shoes, etc

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I'm not doing this tradition, but I wanted to say I hope you don't have to have surgery. I had to have an emergency surgery to remove my appendix back in March, and... yeah. It sucks.

Oh gosh I hope you don't have to have sugery!
I dont know yet if I am doing this tradition only because I can't find anything old, borrowed or blue. I have new which would be my dress. I was thinking about putting a little blue pin in my hair or something.

    Good luck with everything, babyblue.

My dress maker embroidered my name in blue thread in the back of my dress, so that was my "something blue."

Currently my something blue are the shoes that I purchased, but now that I bought a dress, I'm not sure they match the formality of the dress, so we'll see. Shoes will probably be my something blue, but they'll probably be a different pair than the ones I already bought. My dress is my something new and my something old and borrowed is currently my future MIL's Mom's pearls . . . that's still up in the air too. I'll be doing the sixpence in my shoe too!
