Invitation help!

Hi everyone!

I just got my proof for my etsy digital invitation suite and my accommodation card reads

"Accommodations have been made at the following hotels:"

Does that make it sound like we are paying for the rooms.... because we aren't and I don't want to give people the wrong idea.

Am I just being crazy?

Thanks!

You know, I didn't think it did until you asked if it does. :)

Now, I sorta think it does sound that way. I feel like this isn't appropriate for the invites, and maybe something that just directs people to your Web site would be better?

Or you could say, "For hotel accomodations, please contact XXX and ask for the M/M Wedding"?

Well... when I bought the suite, it was one of the insert cards. So I have an RSVP insert, reception insert, and accommodations insert.

    I also saw the wording...

The following hotel is recommended for your stay

and thought maybe that was better? I mean, I could just be crazy... I just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea!

I think that works. I was debating on saying "Hotel accomodations have been reserved..." but that is the same problem.

I do think we are both being crazy and the average guest will not think that rooms have been paid for. Although, I just watched Father of the Bride and apparently, the bride's family is supposed to pay for out of town guests of the groom... which is CRAZY!

Sure...... after they pay for the wedding!

I bet one person thinks old school like that and that's exactly why I want to make sure they don't think my parents are paying :-)

"For the convenience of our guests, a block of rooms have been reserved at the following hotels:

    1. Hotel 1
    2. Hotel 2
    3. Hotel 3

Please mention XXXX wedding for a discounted rate of $0.00"

I didn't even enterain this idea when I did ours. Our card simply reads "Accommodations" then lists location 1 and then location 2. We didn't reserve a block of rooms because we had no idea how many would actually book a room; most of our guests are local.

I'd suggest the simple version of "Accommodations" and then in small print something like "Rooms are discounted with the mention of the Smith Wedding".

I hate to say it( incase you like how the invites sound or something) but I immediately thought it sounded like you were paying for them. Buuut that is of course CRAZY!!! Go with what mrs.cip wrote. It sounds great and their is no way any one can confuse that. My cousin wrote something similar to that on her invites and everyone was clear on the meaning. Good luck planning! Have a great wedding !

"Discounted room rates are available at "XXXX". Please call 412-555-5555 and reference the "Smith-Smith" Wedding."  That is what I noted on my accommodation card.

We have worked with the following hotel to provide a discounted rate. Please reference the Smith-Smith wedding when calling to make a reservation.

    Hotel name
    Hotel address
    Phone
    Code if applicable
