FI and I grew up in the same neighborhood, so we've known OF each other since we were kids. We didn't really get to know each other until he started dating a friend of mine in high school. He and I started dating about 2 weeks after I graduated high school.

I met my FI at a wedding of all places. He was a groomsman at his ex-gf's brother's wedding...they broke up about 4 years prior, but he remained friends with her, roommates with her other brother, and just generally close with the whole family. This family was my neighbor, and my brother and I actually grew up playing with FI's ex-gf and her brother, who was the groom at the wedding. Anyway, so we met at the wedding...the ex-gf was very happy for us (as I said, it had been 4 years since they broke up), and we are all still friends and hang out frequently

. It's kind of a difficult situation to explain!

FI and I met at a party at a motel 6, lol, back when I was still in high school. Some of his friends rented a room for a night to drink and one of his friends invited one of my friends and we ended up there. My friend and I were the only girls and there were like 6 guys, and FI and I started talking and it went from there. We had an on again off again hook up thing going on for quite some time, we both dated other people in between, and then finally started dating each other last year.

FI and I met iour junior year of college at one of my sorority's dated functions. He was someone else's date, but they were just friends. We hit it off and ended up spending the whole night talking. We went on a couple dates annd started officially dating two weeks later.

At Tonic (now I think its called Yunkers) in Manyunk!..he had just come from a wedding and still had his suit on..I thought he looked cute so I went up to him and asked why he was dressed up :-)

My FI and I met in high school, 12th grade health class to be exact. We actually didn't "talk" to each other until after graduation. During prom season, I actually asked him to prom but he refused to go to prom at all or we would have been together a lot sooner.

We met in high school, although I was a public school kid and she was a private school girl. One of my middle school female friends went to private school for high school but she still stayed in touch with the old group for the first few years. FI was locker buddies with this mutual friend and she tagged along to a couple of social functions when we all got together and that's how we met. FI and I actually dated for 3 months in high school and went to each others' junior proms. She dumped me shortly after for some snot nosed LaSalle kid but I knew I'd have the last laugh.

We lost contact senior year of high school and were in serious relationships with other people throughout college and didn't really talk at all. Turns out we both broke up with our then 2+ year SOs on almost the same exact day close to graduation. I came home (Philly) for the summer before starting my job in the South and we randomly started talking again/consoling each other on the bad breakups - albeit through AIM at first (by the way I'd still perk up today if I heard that door open or slam shut sound through a speaker).

I'm taking the time to put together a little scrap book to give her on the day of our wedding. Towards the front I'm going to put in our junior prom picture that my parents still have and a print out of that first initial reconnecting AOL Instant Messenger conversation we had that rekindled it all after college.

My FI's name is Jon and his brother was one of my friends that I worked with. I saw Jon one day at work and I asked one of my co-workers who that guy was talking to my friend and someone told me it was his brother. We never really met until almost 2 years later when Jon was getting ready to move in with his brother. We started talking and we just completely hit it off. We stayed up talking to each other until 5:30 in the moring on two occasions. We talked about everything from cereal to the meaning of life! He has such a warm personality and I remember thinking how great his smile was! He asked me out but I was a little wary because he was my friend's brother and I didn't want to step on anyone's toes.

So...I asked my friend for his blessing and he honestly couldn't be happier. I knew from the minute that Jon was the one and a year later he proposed! He's my best friend and my soulmate and I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else!

My FI and I attended the same high school but didn't meet until 1 1/2 years after graduation. We had over 600 students in our graduating class and didn't have classes together or run in the same circle so we never met! We finally met when a friend of mine was dating his best friend. Liked him right away, but he was so shy, it took hanging out quite a few times as a group before we ever became an official couple. We always say we wish we knew each other in high school, but it probably wouldn't have worked out the same way if we had. Timing is everything, life is funny like that.

angelstar975 - Too funny, FI and I had our first kiss at a party at Red Roof Inn - his friends rented out a room to drink and hang out in on New Year's Eve and I almost didn't go with one of my friends, so glad I did though.

I met him years ago at a party at my best friend Jay's house, he went to college with his brother. It wasn't until almost 3 years ago that we were at another party and I thought "I always thought he was sweet." He was apparently thinking the same thing and asked me out a week later. We saw The Hangover.

Through Craigslist. I was bored at work and decided I had nothing better to do than post a personal ad to see what kind of people I would attract. I got a lot of emails from a lot of weirdos and decided to cancel the post. FI emailed me in the 15 minute window before the ad disappeared from the site. We emailed all day and I gave him my number. He called the next day while I was a few margaritas in at a friend's party. I met him at a bar in Conshy, I took him home, and five years later he still hasn't left!
