  I can't help myself but share this, although its not a serious suggestion, unless of course it works for you....
  
  My gf did this for her hubby.  The inscription was "One ring to bind them" because he is a lord of the rings fan and he adored it....plus obvi it can be applied to marriage also.  I thought it was funny

  How I unwind? The FI and I watch old TV shows 187 124 48 15 RSVP Date March 31

  I might do the same thing...how fun!  FI wouldn't even notice if his ring was missing for a few days - he doesn't wear it yet.

  We are figuring this out. We say to each other that the other is 'my everything' and we are dancing to 'everything' by michael buble. However the way my ring is I won't be able to fit that. He might do "My <insert infinity sign>" since he is a HS Math teacher, and I might do the same or do "Mon tout" since I was a French major and wish I could just live there forever.
  
  Is there something that you two say to each other? Something that has meaning? Or maybe plays on his inner geek (like the lord of the rings thing too)

  If I were to do this for my FI, I'd have to reference video games....likes perhaps, "Oh no, you're princess is in another castle" hahaha

  I saw a pin on pinterest of a ring that was engraved "put me back on!  love you!"
  
  I thought that was hilarious!  
  
  We are not having our rings engraved, it's just not that important to us, but when we bought FI's ring, it has the jewelery designer name engraved on the inside, whch is Diana.  So we nicknamed his wedding band Diana, and it's become this ridiculous stupid funny joke between us.
