Indoor ceremony/reception site??

Hello!I could really use some help finding a place to get married! I prefer to have the ceremony and reception at the same location, both indoors. We will be having quite a few out of town guests so it would be great to have overnight accommodations available (like at a hotel, resort, lodge etc)...but all the hotel's that i've looked at either have horrendous ballrooms or charge over $20 to park each car. (Good parking is important to me too!)If anyone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it...no budget restraints on suggestions, i'd love to look at them all! Thanks so much!

We are getting married at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club.  It is a gorgeous venue and can hold up to 225 people.  You can have both the ceremony and reception in the same place... AND best part... the parking is AWESOME.  Plenty plenty plenty and it is gated.  They close it 1/2 hour after your event starts so the cars are secure.  If anyone is late they give them instructions on how to get through.  You can get food for as cheap as $18.95/person.  So far we have been very pleased so I recommend it.

There are two McMenamins properties that offer one-stop shopping- the Grand Lodge in Forest Grove, and Edgefield in Troutdale. In terms of convenience to Portland amenities, Edgefield is a better bet, but both have lovely interior spaces and on-site lodging and activities.  They require that you meet a food and beverage minimum, as opposed to other places that charge you for your food/beverage and then also charge a separate rental fee for the space.

I just got married at Columbia Edgewater a few weeks ago (7-17) and it went nice! Most of my OOT guests stayed at the fairfield or courtyard North Habour and the hotel had a wedding shuttle that it ran twice before and twice after the ceremony...and it was free! Its only about a mile between the 2 hotels and the venue. I have no idea how to private message anyone on here but if you, or any if you other CECC brides, have any questions you can email me at andrea (dot) oakes (at) gmail (dot) com I'm more than happy to help as there was a few things I found out either very soon, or on the day, that would have been helpful to know before hand!!!

I should mention that I had to ask about the shuttle (at the fairfield and courtyard north harbour), and it was free...just had to be at pre determined times. I made a flyer and they passed it out to all my guests. It worked very nicely.
  • I'm getting married there too.. I know this post is fairly old and all of you are already married... but if you happen to see this. I'd love to hear any recommendations for lighting or whatnot.
