Opinions of Parkland Golf and Country Club

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to these boards, but I am getting close to booking a venue (after seeing all that broward has to offer for a 180-200 person wedding).  I am thinking of parkland golf and country club and was wondering if any of you had seen, attended, tasted the food of, or have any other input on the venue.  All opinions are greatly appreciated!!!

    I have only seen it in pictures and it looks gorgeous!! The reviews seem good too :) I have their package info from 2011 and they were reasonable.     Never attended a wedding there but I did check out the venue for myself because it looked beautiful in pictures...and if I was having an outside ceremony that I would have totally been all about it because the architecture of the building is beautiful and its just so pretty for pictures and for the outside cocktal hour. However I was not crazy with the 1. The event coordinator lady there was very cold and not so pleasent...2. the reception room to me was not very big or special at all 3. pretty pricey and alot of things extra. (for example if you want chicken and fish for the meal choices typically you would pay the average of the 2 prices per head...there you automatically pay the more expensive choice. Also there is no bridal suite there.

    I attended a wedding there about 2 years ago and it is absolutley gorgous!! It is a beatiful space for an outside ceremony and the space for cocktail hour was great.  There were quite a few people attending and the outside cocktail space was very spacious for how many people there were. The reception space was very large and spacious as well.
