Survived the Old Navy Flip Flop sale

I meant to post on Saturday about this incase anyone intended to go,but this is prob good info for next year.

I went to one old navy (north attleboro) at 730 and waited in line for a 1/2 hr to get the flip flops (limit 5). After I waited in line, I realized there are actually buckets filled with flip flops by size in black and white (their most popular sizes)

They were pretty strict about getting only 5.

After I left there I went to the gym which is near Smithfield so I figured I'd head to that one to get an additional 5 (fiance was supposed to come and overselpt and had to work- he was in trrrouble saturday)...

Smithfield was a godsend. They let me get 30 pairs of flip flops and keep them at the register, buy 5, get to the back of the line, and go to the register to buy 5 more. I'm not sure if they were supposed to let me do that or not, but she said they had way less people than they expected and also had about 5,000 pairs of flip flops to sell...so they didn't care as long as they were making the sale.

I didn't have to wiat in line in Smithfield either (got there are 9 am)...It was awesome!.. There weren't even more thna 5 people in the store.

It was so worth it, I got 35 pairs for $35 bucks, and then got some "metalliac" ones for myself for $3 each that were on sale (usually 5)... so for around 40$ I made out well.

Also, I scored two coupons by "spinning a wheel" for 10/$30, $15/75 and a free tote!

What a great deal. I highly suggest if a 2012 bride wants to go next year to go to Smithfield Crossings. Bring a friend to help carry the bags--and you will be good to go :)

Also -I have a feeling I'm going to have a ton of leftover flip flops. I'm not getting married until 2012 but I will def. be selling leftovers after the fact.

Congrats! I went to the Swansea mall, I purchased 5 and my two siblings purchased 5 each. I just needed them for our families and the bridal party so it worked out for us. They were also pretty strict about the 5 max policy but there was PLENTY of flip flops left for both men, women and kids in all sizes.

I got 35 pairs as well!  I went to 2 stores in Mass that imposed a strict limit of 5 before hitting a third store that let me get back in line as many times as I wanted.  I'm also worried about having leftovers but these are wildly popular with the high school/ college set so I'm sure some people will take home a few pairs.  I just wish the men's came in more colors.  I also bought a white pair for my pre-wedding pedicure Laughing

I hit up the Warwick Mall at 7 am.  I brought along my FI, parents and BMs.  They were very strict about the only 5 policy.  I however was able to sneak through again by putting a hat on and taking my coat off.  They did stop my FI when he tried to go through again but luckily we saw some people we knew walking the mail and handed them $5 to go throught he line for us.  There was no line or waiting but when I sent some others at 10 they said the place was a zoo and because I had already bout 35 pairs of the dark pink there weren't many left.  I resorted to having a BM hit up her store in NH where she and her husband each bought 5 pairs.  I ended up with 55 and will also probably have a ton left over.  It was quite the expereince.  Advice for 2012 brides: bring lots of helpers!!
