Triad RD location suggestions, please

We need suggestions for a RD location in/around High Point, more on the southern end, although the Deep River area wouldn't be terrible.  I don't want to go all the way into Greensboro or Winston.  There will be about 30-40 people. 

My aunt and uncle are hosting our RD.  Uncle has suggested J.H.Addams Inn, or String and Splinter.  My concern is that the RD locations would make it fancier than the wedding, and that seems weird.  Anyone know of any niceish restaurants in the High Point area?  Locally owned and fabulous food both get bonus points.

    I have nothing to contribute as far as suggestions... but I did want to say that I agree with you about the RD being fancier than the wedding reception and it being weird. I went back and forth with my FMIL about this several times and I still don't think she gets it.

    Thanks.  The RD fancier than the wedding hits along the same vein as a tiered reception for me.  It's like we're saying that hosting an elegant party for these few people is OK, but not for everyone, and I don't feel comfortable with that.

    That's how I felt about it too. My FMIL however wanted to pretty much invite everyone on our guest list to the RD, FI and I felt like it was her way to say "look this is my party, and I put alot more money into it then they did"

    I hope that's not true, but it's definitely questionable.

    What about Steak Street or the Chop House on 68?  I also like Liberty Steakhouse near the mall.

    My little brothers RD was at Steak Street last year, and it was delicious!  Not to fancy either!
