Reception Venues in Sheboygan

Hi ladies!!!  I'm hoping someone on here might be able to offer some ideas on where to have a reception in Sheboygan or that immediate surrounding area.  My FI is from Plymouth and we are trying to plan our wedding for when we return from overseas in 2013.  I need all the help I can get, I'm not from that area and its been a while since he has been home and we are having issues trying to find places.  Thank you very much for any information you have on this and congratulations to all!!!

Our best friends had theirs at Margauex and it was amazing. The ceremony was first and then they turned the room during cocktail hour and had dinner and dancing. They had a four course meal that was outstanding. Their guest list was smaller and wouldn't work if you are expecting  over 125 I have to guess. I also know it was fairly pricey, but it was definitely elegant and memorable. They are friends with the owner so I don't know if this type of party is the norm for them.

I just booked Laacks Ballroom for Oct 2011. They offer their outdoor area for ceremonies as well as their ballroom. They have all the chairs, arbor, sound equipment, and they set it up for you! if the weather is bad, they will set it up inside for you too! To reserve the hall it was $400 but you get $200 back afterward. i guess they had some people cancelling and not telling them so they do an extra deposit now. also the outdoor services cost an additional $200,but i think its well worth at after how much chairs and all that cost. not to mention the time it takes to set up/take down. also their buffet is $11.50/plate, but many choices to choose from :) I hope that helps a little too. heres their website www.laacksballroom.com and Congrats to you~! :)

John MIchael Kohler Arts center is pretty amazing, but you have to bring in your own caterer and decor.
