Bridal shower venues

Hi ladies,

I'm planning a bridal shower for a friend in Bostin but I'm from out of state. Could you recommend some good venues at which to host the shower? We're thinking of a brunch type event. We're hoping to find a restaurant that have a small private room. We'll probably have about 40 people. I'm guessing that anything inside Boston will probably be rather expensive, so recommendations at nearby towns (she lives in Newton) would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you so much!

Our rehearsal dinner is at Exchange St. Bistro in Malden and I know they do brunch on Sunday and have a private room.  We love their food!

My bridal shower was at the Fat Cactus on Route 1 in Lynnfield and that was also awesome.  They tell me that the staff was fantastic to deal with.  They don't serve brunch food, but they have a small room that could be used for a private lunch.

We had a brunch for my daugher's shower in April.  We had it at the Fox and Hound Restaurant in Quincy.  We had a brunch and there were about 40 people.  They have a nice little function room.  It was great.  price was very reasonable too.  I believe it was about $15 pp.   There is also the common Restaurant in Quincy.  We had my older daughters shower there.  I'm not sure if they do a brunch or not.  Her shower began at 12:00.  I believe the cost for hers was $16 pp and that included the tax & gratuity.  Good luck!

My shower was at the Melting Pot. There are multiple locations, but mine was in Framingham because FI's family is from western MA and it was right off the Mass Pike for them.

Everyone raved about how much fun and different it was. I had a little over 30 people attend.HTH!

The college where I work (and had my wedding) would be perfect for a bridal shower - you can rent the Moncreif Room (which is a large sitting room, we used it for our cocktail hour and had the reception in the ballroom) for a reasonable fee, and there is onsite catering. They have a brunch menu and everything. It's an old mansion in Chestnut Hill, which is sort of part of Newton/Brookline - so right in the neigborhood you're looking for!

Check out the courtyard by Marriott in Natick.

The Carriage House Inn in Sudbury is also nice.

There's a Marriott in Newton and also Hotel Indigo..might be worth checking out. Our wedding is at Cafe Escadrille in Burlington...right off of 128 so that's easily accessible as well and they do a great job!

My shower was at Finale in Coolidge Corner (Brookline - right on the Green line on Beacon St).  They had a private room upstairs, and it worked out really well.  Here's the website for more info

The Quincy Tennis Club was perfect. I had a really big shower though...around 80 guests.

Mine was at the Bella Costa in Framingham.  It easily accomodates 40 people and it's very well priced for what you get.
