Unique and budget friendly venue ideas

Hello,

My wedding is many years past, but now my younger sister is engaged and is looking to get married in Minneapolis since it is a good location in between far flung family members.  It will be smaller, about 50 people.  The venues I know best are from my own wedding research, but we were looking for 150+ at the time.  She is looking for something unique, budget friendly, wedding ceremony and reception in the same place.  Date/time of year is flexible, indoor/outdoor flexible.  I'm thinking something old/urban/historic.  Anyone know of any place that let's you bring in your own catering or alcohol?  Any restaurants that have good private spaces?  I looked through the lists on the knot, but only saw a couple contenders (Pracna and Warehouse Winery).

TIA for  your ideas!

Flowers are VERY important to me. I have strong ideas about what I want and she was very good at "interpreting" that for me. I really liked her and she seemed like she knew her stuff. Ultimately, the cost of flowers are dictated by how much you are prepared to spend on them. If they are important to you and within your budget then that's fine, particularly if you are cutting costs elsewhere.

FI and I chose the Rosemount Steeple Center.  It is an old church that the city took over and made a banquet hall.  It is reasonable in price $490 for a 14 hour rental (non-resident) they charge an extra $100 to do the ceremony and reception (to reset the room), and $210 for security if you are serving alcohol.  They allow any licensed caterer and give you  two options for liquor providers.  The cons to consider are: you must clear out the room so they can reset it for the reception, the main room is not airconditioned, and the bathrooms are small and (2- 1 person bathrooms)  HTH
