adive on outdoor wedding...

I am getting married outside, but I just don't know what time of year is best.  I don't want to fry and I don't want to freeze either.  As you know in Alabama the weather is not the most predictable!! Any suggestions!!!

It depends on where in AL you're getting married.  I personally love May and Oct but you're right - the weather is so unpredictable. Try this link: http://countrystudies.us/united-states/weather/alabama/

    It's great

Definitely avoid July and August then.  It's been crazy-hot.  We had our wedding at the end of May and got rained on, but still went ahead with it being outdoors.  It stopped during the ceremony and was a very comfortable temperature for the reception.

I've been doing a little bit more research but the link above sums up all of it.  I wish I could help more.  My wedding is in the winter so I haven't done much research about it all.  If you have it in Oct - have it in early Oct.  The closer to the end, the weirder the weather gets with one cold day, one warm day.  And like Stu wrote - watch out in the Spring for the showers.  But every wedding I've been to that it rained on, it only rained for a little bit and it wasn't a pouring down day.  My friend got married in September last year - very comfortable outside.

My date is in late September, even then the high is still around 80. Spring is more popular, Fall might be easier to get a date/cheaper.

Why? Are fall weddings cheaper to book?
