So, at my shower, Joshs aunt gave us a card and in it wrote "I donated money toward your honeymoon!" After all the gifts were open she came up and told me how excited she was that we had a honeymoon registry because she thought that was the greatest gift ever. No joke she was way excited! She said she called the agency itself and talked with our travel agent and she helped Aunt put money toward it.
Well, I got a call from our agent yesterday letting us know that our balance is due and the remaining balance is the same that it was a month ago when I put money toward it. I asked her about the aunt and she said "Oh yeah I talked with her. She said she was gunna try doing it online and if she couldnt figure it out she'd call me back the next day and I'd do it over the phone. She never called."
So I guess the question is 'now what?' Do we need the money....absolutely not. But she was so excited that I almost feel we should let her know it didnt go through. Of course then my mind wanders to 'what if it wasnt accidental' but I dont think shes that kind of person. Josh wants to let her know but said he doesnt know how to do it without sounding rude or money hungry. Is it possible or do I just let it go?
