We got our favors in the mail...votive holders that could be used as shot glasses as well. I want to attach a tag with a cute saying to let guests know that they can use it as a votive holder or a shot glass. Any ideas?!

How can you use a votive holder as a shot glass? I've never once been able to get all of the wax out of a votice holder, and have never been able to re-use as anything other than...well...another votive holder.

I don't tink you need a note at all. If people want to clean out the votive holder and re-use it, they will. If they don't, then they won't.

If the votive is just the holder, with no candle inside, it seems like it would work really well for your guests to choose what they would like to do with it.

That being said, I think it might be neat to attach a little tag with a poem that explains what your guests can do. Something short and sweet...but gets the point accross. If I come up with something for you I will post it later.

Were doing the same thing, but stuffing it with a cellophane bag of MM's, that way theres and edible, and no wax to be removed. I figure when we go around to the tables to say hello and thank you, we can kind of spread the word about the double useage, since our friends will use them as shot glasses, but our families may want to use them with a candle.

That being said, I've never had a rpoblem with wax being stuck on the glass if I use a tealight, thats what the metal is there for.

There will be no candle inside it...It will just be wrapped so people can decide what they want to use it for. Jenn, I like the sound of yours but I wanted something a little shorter. This seems like its so much harder than it really is!
