Wedding favors..

Hi! I was wondering if any of you fall brides had any ideas or what you are doing for your favors for everyone? I'm greeting married October 6th and we were planning on giving out caramel apples! I'm going with the pumpkin/leaves kinda theme and thought caramel apples would be awesome.. But they are going to be a little bit out of our price range. Does Any of you ladies have any other ideas? Thanks so much!!!

Re: Wedding favors..

  • The favor I am using is maple syrup in a maple leaf jar. I wanted to do the caramel apples too, but couldn't afford them and had to keep looking. Hope it helps.

I'm getting married on an island in Maine.   I plan on using sand dollars for favors tied with an orange ribbon.

    Low budget and easy!

  • I'm not doing a fall themed wedding, but I like packets of hot chocolate, apple cider, little jars of apple butter or maple candy.

  • We are doing bottles of homemade wine, but since we dont have to pay for the wine bc its made already by my dad...we just had to buy the bottles & corks...so im really no help!
  • We're doing a candy buffet as the favour. I really like the cidar idea. I know one year for Christmas my house mate did cookies in a jar. Basically all the dry ingredients and recipe were in the jar and only the wet ingredients like eggs and butter had to be added.

  • We are doing flower bulbs (daffodils and iris) as they are supposed to be planted in the fall.  We are also putting out maple sugar candy.

  • We are doing trail mix. It's not really fall themed, but we both love it so thought it would be perfect.
  • We are also doing a candy buffet, but had tossed around the idea of doing maple candy or apple cider mixes.   Edible favors usually go the best!

  • We're making homemade jam. We're buying the jars (which come with the sealing kit) online from a wholesaler so that's inexpensive. The only other cost is the actual ingredients which are basic, just fruit and sugar. We're going for a rustic chic theme, so the jam favor fits that pretty well. Apples say fall to me so apple butter could be a fun favor for your theme!

  • We're not doing favors.  Just couldn't fit it in the budget.  From what I read on here not too many people will miss the favors.
  • If you like caramel apples but can't afford them, why not caramel apple muffins or cookies?

  • Fi is a big hunter, and it's moose season so we are doing moose cake pops.... Still debating the flavor of cake.
  • We are making our own coasters out of ceramic tiles. Cheaper then almost any favor I could think of buying and really cute.

  • We are making our own caramel apples but after a little bit of trial and error (and a lot of time on the internet) we are able to make them pretty affordably! But you could always do slices of caramel apples instead of whole apples or do chocolate and caramel dipped pretzel rods.

  • We originally wanted to do caramel apples as well but it was too expensive and the shipping made me a little nervous (b/c some companies won't ship them if it is above a certain temp in your area). Then we thought about caramel popcorn. However, we ended on red blankets that we found at IKEA. We're getting married in a barn and so we'll have a sign that says something about it being a chilly night and if you need a throw . . . so on. They're cute throws and only cost $2.49 each. Each group will get one.
