Brooklyn (Budget!) Wedding, This Fall--Help!

Hi everyone,

Can I get some suggestions for places in Brooklyn for a wedding this fall--we expect to invite approximately 100 people, and would like to stay in the range of $10K-$12,500K. We want to spend more money on the honeymoon!

We live in the Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill area and would looove to do something around here, but there really aren't many options. Or am I wrong? Thanks!

p.s.: I've already looked into Rebar and Ici. I also cannot do any cheesy reception halls. Yech.

Have you thought about maybe prospect park?  They have a few places there you could do the ceremony, I believe the Picnic house is nice and they may have one or two other spaces.

Another thought is maybe a restaurant?

the Dumbo Loft is kind of a raw space and it would definitely fit your budget. it can hold up to a few hundred people. i'm not sure abuot exact pricing or whether these places would really fit your style, but there are plenty of budget italian catering halls scattered around brooklyn. rex manor is one. i'm trying to remember the one on 86th street and 15th avenue. i've replied to posts likte this before so if you go back a few pages you might find some answers :)

I'm doing mine at Water Street Restaurant. I haven't heard much but my fingers are crossed!

check out the Bell House.  It is a bar/concert venue and it is a really nice space, not grungy at all, but still really hip and brooklyn.

Its $5000 for a 5 hour premium open bar for up to 150 people, but you have to bring your own caterer and tables, etc.  My budget is very similar to yours and i am planning on having it there next year.  its a concert venue, so the sound system is free, so you can hook up your ipod and save money there!

Raven- how was the wedding?  We are looking into The Bell House, and would love any insights!
