DE bride living in Baltimore

Greetings All!

I've been engaged since 3.1.09 and we are finally starting to plan our wedding for 9.10.11 (i love that date!!) I visited 23 different potential wedding venues in MD, PA, & DE before finally choosing the DE Museum of Natural History. I'm a zookeeper who lives/works down in Baltimore...
I'm currently trying to decide on a caterer/menu...any suggestions/reviews would be helpful...my choices are Toscana, The Greenery, Montrachet Fine Foods, Sugarfoot Fine Foods, an Gallagher & Gallagher...we would like a sit down dinner and are inviting around 100 guests...thanks!

Welcome!  Congrats on your engagement, even if it has been a bit :)  Glad to see you introducing yourself!  The girls on here will help you with whatever you need!

I have heard decent things about The Greenery Caterers; Toscana (if it's the one I am thinking; the restaurant on Kirkwood Hwy, right?) is expensive in the store, so I would think they would be expensive overall for catering.  Those are the only two I can help you with; hope it helps some!

Can't wait to see you posting more; anything else you need, let us know and the girls and I will help as best as we can (and the girls are pretty awesome on here, so they should be able to help you no matter what, LOL)!

Thank you for the welcome ladies! I've been trying to compare prices and Toscana does seem a bit more expensive and i like the style of the greenery...there just doesn't seem to be many reviews out there on any of them...and i love checking reviews!!

    I'm a 9.10.11 bride too!!! Love it :)

As far as caterers, is there a preferred list you have to go by?? Toscana is expensive! Bixby's is good. Lisa Bixby is wonderful. I didn't go with her because I switched venues (I'm pretty sure her hidden costs was because of the venue). I'd be curious to know what her pricing is for a different venue. The food is amazing though. You should check into it - then let me know because I'm curious!

@ Jenn: Yea, i kinda priced out Toscana and they are too expensive...funny, Lisa sent me and email referring to another potential interested bride for that date that "went another route" and i bet it was you!! that's so funny :P
Yes, i have to go with someone on the list and i have no prior experience w/caterers so i'm still trying to figure the whole process out since we have to rent everything for our venue...ugh.
i'll let you know when we make a decision!

I've used the Greenery through work... and they're wonderful.  When I was still venue-shopping and thinking of The Carriage House, I contacted The Greenery.  Rob got back to me right away, and showed me all kinds of sample menus.  They're pretty easy to work with.
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.
