gown preservation

anyone know of any reasonable places to get your gown cleaned and preserved? i don't want to spend a fortune to put the gown in a box, but I can't keep it hanging in my closet any longer collecting dust. i live in central new jersey - around oldbridge/matawan area.

Yep Local Boards. Your local cleaners can clean and preserve it for you but it does run anywhere from $100-$200+

Honestly, I washed mine at home. following the instructions below. I just wanted to put it back in the garnment bag but it was filthy so I took the risk of damaging it.

It's still in perfect condition but mine was a standard satin gown with very little embellishment.
