Venue Hunting: The Final Three!

We saw three more venues this weekend, and I think we are down to our final three.  Just waiting on the proposals so we can see how the prices all work out.  We are thinking we will choose from 1) Venue at the Grove, 2) Grayhawk Golf Club, or 3) McCormick Ranch Golf Club.  If we go with either golf club we will probably have to do a Friday due to availability.  Anyone been to wedding at these places?  Any strong opinions?  Thanks for all the advice!

We really prefer the Scottsdale area, so our out of town guests can stay somewhere nearby and have plenty close to do, but the Venue at the Grove has its own appeal, and could be on a Saturday.

Grayhawk was my second choice, in fact I was set on it until I saw Troon North and even then I had to go back and forth between the two.  So that being said, I LOVE Grayhawk and have heard nothing but great things about it.  I am sure all three are great though, just go with you gut!

I am getting married at McCormick Ranch at the end of May! You can't beat the location :)

We had our tasting there about 6 months ago and the food was delicious. We are doing fireworks over the lake / with Camelback in the background as a surprise to our guests. Ollie the Trolley will be transporting guests to and from their hotels in Old Town (options we booked on our own, but cool because of the venue location)...

Anyway, so while I haven't been through the whole process at McCormick yet, I am definitely recommending it :)

AND our mentor couple from church said they've been to multiple events there and had great experiences each time :)

What a great idea with Ollie the Trolley.  I hadn't thought of that.  I also love their fireworks, but I like the ceremony spots at the other two better.  It is hard to decide...and this is just the FIRST decision of this whole process!

Haha yeah, but other than the dress, it's the toughest.  It took me months to finally find the perfect venue for us.  Scottsdale sounds like the most convenient, but the Grove could be unique.  Is there a major price difference between any of the venues?

We went and looked at Grayhawk and although it was beautiful, the lady was really rude.  What we learned was that they basically won't stop golfers from golfing on the green across from the ceremony site and they (the golfers) have priority over weddings.  So the golfers can be in your pictures and the people at the venue won't stop them.  Hopefully those of you who visited Grayhawk had a different experience and maybe they take more consideration about making sure golfers aren't in the pictures now.  Once we saw Troon, it was over, we never looked at another venue :)

nilla, there is actually a good size range in prices in our final three, so it may ultimately come down to that if I think I will love any of them.  We are doing the open house at Venue at the Grove Wednesday, and my FH's parents are going to go with us, so hopefully that will help us decide.
