Looking for a church...

My fiance I and I do not attend church but would like to have our wedding ceremony in one.  We're looking for something around the Tysons/Vienna area since our reception is around there.  Does anyone know of any churches that would make a great ceremony venue?  Thanks!

It can be hard to find a church that will allow you to marry there if you are not a participating member of that faith. And to be honest, I don't blame them, it's a little odd to want to get married in a church if you aren't a churchgoer and don't actively practice the faith.

That said, there are plenty of non-church ceremony sites that might be more appropriate. Where is your reception? Can you have the ceremony there?  It's more convenient for the guests anyway.

How about this?   I found it when I was looking for a reception hall but it may suit your needs.

my fiance and i are different denominations neither of whom are practicing but growing up in church going families it was important to us to have a religious ceremony. ii thought we would have a really hard time finding a church...we didn't. i don't have specific suggestions for your area but i just did a google map search for churches and started making calls. the worst they can say is no. i would prepare to pay an extra fee for being a non-member and to take pre martial counseling to get to know your officiant.
    good luck

Check out universalist.org - its the Universalist National Memorial Church, its in DC but its gorgeous - they allow non members to marry, and they dont require pre-marital counceling, though you are welcome to seek it on your own.

Unitarian Universalist churches will almost always allow you to use them for a wedding, regardless of your religious affiliation (or lack thereof).
