How long was your vacation??

Hi Ladies,

As you know I have been talking about our vacation in December and I was wondering how long was your vacation??  We have never gone out of the country together and the only other vacation was to India/Pakistan and usually for a couple of months.  When we went on vacation here, it was usually about a week or so including travel to vacation spot. 

So ladies, How long was usually you vacation?  I have almost all of December free from school and towards Christmas, and New Years, I get that week or two off as well, so I am trying to schedule it during that.  He will have about a couple of months off.

    Hi Hina

    Because of work vacation type issues we vacationed only 4 nights and 5 days. I recommend 5 nights and 6 days since it sounds like you have plenty of time off!!

    Ya I would suggest the same...I've actually never taken more than a week off from work...and by the end of the 7 day 6 night resort vacations ...I'm ready to get back lol!

    Each year we take a full week (10 day) vacation - so we typically leave either Thurs night or sometime Friday and return the following Sat or Sun.  When we first started dating we were in different cities - so it was great to really be able to spend that time together.  And we still continue to do that so we have some time away to unplug a bit and relax and get out of our daily routine of work, scrounge together dinner, watch some tv and crash. 

    We also usually do 2 or 3 long weekends together - sometimes it is for a wedding or others just to get away from the cold in the middle of winter. 

    Regardless of where you go or how long you go for you will have a great time.

    For our honeymoon, the day after the wedding/reception we took off 7 days for a Royal Caribbean Cruise.  At the end of this year, I've saved up vacation and work shut down - about a month to spend time with in-laws, and explore South India.

    It really depends on how much timeoff you have with your company, and with your h2b/dh and what you both want to do :)
