Where to sleep in Geneva

Hi Everyone!
Since this is my first post I'll tell you I am gettting married at Ventosa Vineyard in September.  Im a graduate student in Syracuse and I am having trouble driving to Geneva all the time and really hope I can find some help from you guys. : )
I have researched all the local accomadations for my guests but I can not figure out where my FI and I should stay the night of the wedding.
Last time I was in Geneva I visited the Ramada and hated the suites, Belhurst was extremely rude to us and although beautiful Geneva on the Lake is out of our budget.  Any suggestions?  Is it weird to stay at a b&b the night of?

Check out Glenora... it's a bit of a drive and a little on the pricier side, but they treat you like royalty (glass of champagne at check in type roylaty).
Their suites are beautiful and have a fireplace and jacuzzi tub... the staff is just wonderful and the view can't be beat.

Also- Emie is our resident Geneva expert... I am sure when she checks your post, she will have some other ideas.

You may also want to post this question on the WNY board as Geneva kind of falls in that area as well...

    Good luck!  HTH

I'm getting married at Ventosa in September 2012! Can't wait to hear about your wedding and experience.

hi, I'm the former resident Genevan, so here are my two cents!
your experiences makes it a little tough, as my suggestions would have been Ramada, or Bellhurst. They are the best prices, and most "wedding" like. I might give Bellhurst another try - they were going through some personnel changes.
Bed and breakfast wise you will need to travel atleast 25 minute  if you are looking for something secluded or with a view- are you willing to do this?
I haven't stayed at any of the B&B's in Geneva but here is one I would recommend based on the propieters being a family that is well known (the Gage's), that I would trust, it's not right on the lake or anything, but this is the website and it looks like the Elizabeth Blackwell has a 2 person hottub!

Also, as Monica suggested Glenora is an option, although I like Bellhurst just as much, without the drive. Canandaigua, 20 minutes in the other direction has got Inn on the Lake, where I'll be staying...

Welcome!  I don't know anything about Geneva, but I am staying at a b&b on the night of our wedding and for our honeymoon.  Our rooms for both are a little more private than some others, so I don't think it'll be too weird.

I'm getting married at Ventosa Vineyards in July this year (2011).  I'm from PA, so it was difficult to find nice hotels in the area...i agree with everyones views of the Ramada and Belhurst...as well as many of the hotels int he Gevena area.  FOr our wedding weekend, we reserved all the rooms at the Hotel Clarence in Seneca Falls.  It is only a 10-15 mintue drive from Ventosa.  The hotel is very nice and they gave us a  reasonable wedding room block rate.  We are staying there the night of our wedding.  Good luck everyone!
