So I think my post from the other day about the salon we ordered our bridesmaid dresses at filing bankruptcy today got deleted. Thanks for the well wishes, Ladies!
That evening after I posted, I went on Allure's website and checked the local retailers yet again, called about 6 (all either were closed, didn't carry Allure, or only carried Allure bridal and not bridesmaids). Then, something told me to try one more salon that's a bit of a further drive. I asked the woman if they carried Allure and she said yes. I was like, "Oooh! Do you carry 1239?" and she said they didn't but could order. So then I explained to her how we already ordered and are part of the disaster of the store (it's up in Clifton, NJ. I know someone asked what salon it was-- Bridals by Roma) and she was like OMG you poor thing. So she called Allure for me to see if they ever submitted our order anddd yes they were ordered and expected to be delivered in mid June *yay* so she said for us all to dispute the deposits on our credit cards and they'd take care of the order. We just have to go in ASAP to still get them in time to have the girls get resized- part of a liability thing in case the 1st salon made a mistake with anything. I told her she's a life saver :-) That was a relief. So we're going tomorrow to get it all out of the way. WOo HoOo
Yesterday, though I just had to deal with one of m MOH's going on about ow she had plans for all day Saturday and probably couldn't go until maybe Wednesday. As if it wasn't frustrating enough to deal with the whole bankruptcy drama, she had to complain (the rest of us were altering plans ourselves for Saturday just to be on top of this) about her plans (which are pretty simple things that can be put off...she did the SAME thing when we first went dress shopping) and how she'd just have a coworker measure her and call in the measurements. Then when I stopped answering her texts to cool off, she texts me back saying she was going to try going first thing in the morning when they open and then, "just so I can go to this place i'm rearranging couple of things i need to and/or not doing it"
Really? You're gonna make a big deal out of this? I really haven't asked the bridal party for ANYTHING yet except for the 3 days we went dress shopping .
*deep breath* needed to do that mini vent :-) lol
