Beauty Question

So I am currently looking around at make up artist.. I am between Eye Candy Cosmetics and Allison Feamster. I think eye candy cosmetics is slightly cheaper but i was wondering if anyone had any reviews on them.

And then also, what is your opinions on paying for your bridesmaid make up? I don't know if i want to fork over that much money to do it, but i think it would be nice for them to have their make up and hair done?

Regarding your bridesmaids, if you make it optional for them then you probably don't need to pay for it, but if you really, really want them all to have theirs done then you should probably offer to pay for it.

I can't answer your first question as my sister did my wedding day make-up.

However, as far as your BM's go, if they are all open to having someone do their make-up (I am only saying this in case some of them don't really like or wear make-up) and you can pay for it, it certainly is a nice gesture. But I would not require it. Depending on your girls, they may be more comfortable doing their own.

I did not require my BM's to do their make-up a certain way. All of them wore it, but some was quite minimal compared to the others, which was fine with me b/c it was what they were comfortable with.

I can't personally answer about the first question, but I do see a lot of posts on here about that Alison Feamster.

For my wedding I gave everyone the "hair" as their wedding gift, and gave everyone the option of make-up because some of my bridesmaids never wear it.  This way, the 2 who declined don't have to fork over 50 bucks for something they don't even like.  I wanted everyone to get their hair done though which is why I chose to give that as part of my BM gift!

I am offering each bridesmaid one paid service (hair or makeup) and if they would like the other service, they are paying themselves. However, if you make it mandatory, you should pay for them. I contacted Alison Feamster and she was awesome but already booked :( I don't know anything about the other person though.

after talking to one of my bridesmaids I have decided to offer to pay for one service and they can choose to get the other service or not.

I'm actually having my trial with Eye Candy Cosmetics tonight. I'll come back tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

I actually booked with Candy when my original make-up artist canceled just three weeks before my wedding! Ahh! I found Candy through a random google search. She was really quick to get back with me via email and phone and understood the look I was going for.
