Bridal Shower Themes

I am looking for suggestions for a theme for my bridal shower. My aunt, who lives in San Francisco, is throwing me a bridal shower at the Hotel Hershey in April. She is asking my mom & me for ideas for a theme. I'm overwhelmed with her generosity of a Hotel Hershey bridal shower, and don't want her to go to any extra trouble. But I want to be as helpful to her as possible. My mom suggested some sort of Philadelphia theme since that is where my fiance & I live. Did you have a theme at your shower? What was it?

    I think the Philly theme is such a cute idea! You could have food that Philly is known for, Philly sports team (if you're into any of them) decor/favors, That would be fun.


    I don't think I am having a specific theme for mine. Actually I haven't even thought about it, however I have been to several with themes such as:

    Honeymoon themed - my friend was going to Hawaii for their HM so they had luau theme.

    Hobby themed - friend is a Hot Yoga instructor so they did a Yoga themed shower with Yoga lessons for ladies! I've also heard of karaoke themed and dance themed.

    Some other kinds that I've seen in magazines:

    Indulgence themed - spa themed where women get their nails done, facials, massages, etc. Can't forget wine and choco-covered strawberries since you'll be in Hershey! Or just a wine, cheese, chocolate theme (to save money on the spa)..can't go wrong with that.

    Crafty theme - my MOH (who is also getting married) thought of this theme for herself. Doing crafts for those that enjoy it. Also have women help with wedding crafts that need done!
