When to order?

My wedding is April 21, 2012. When should I / my florist be ordering my flowers? I remember her mentioning that she'd get a hold of me in February, but I wanted to check w/ what everyone else has been doing. I have pretty easy ones (daisies, ranaculus, fillers, etc) so nothing exotic or hard to grow.

Thanks!

I set my floral order with my florist about 5-6 months before my wedding.  I have no idea when she ordered the flowers since I hired her to do all the ordering and arranging.

For my November wedding, I met with my florist in February or March for the first time to discuss ideas.  She gave me an estimate and a contract.  We stayed in contact via email, but I didn't meet with her again until 2 weeks before the wedding to finalize the flower order.  So, your florist saying she'll call you in February sounds pretty normal to me.

My wedding is in August of 2012, I have already met with the florist and signed my contract with them.  Some florists book up very early depending on their reputation and what type of weddings and clientele they usually have.
