Vegas Wedding

We are getting married in Vegas in October with just a few friends and MIGHT be having a reception sometime after we get back. Should we do a registry? I've been asked if we are and I just don't know what to do...

<div>You can make a registry if you want to, but remember that very, very few people who aren't invited to the wedding will buy you a gift.  If you're only inviting 20 people to the wedding, your registry should be pretty tiny.  To me, that wouldn't be worth the effort.</div><div>
</div><div>Also, remember that a reception guest list is limited to people that are invited to the ceremony.  A reception back home will still need to be pretty tiny, and isn't going to change the registry size.</div>
  • Most likely, only people who are invited to or attend the wedding will choose to send a gift.  (No one is required to give you one, though, and if they have travel expenses they may not be able to get you one.)  So, if you're only inviting a dozen or two people, then it's probably more trouble than it's worth.  You could still do a very small one, though, if people ask you about it.
