Hotel cut off date

I am almost done with invitations!  :)  One thing I am working on now is the accommodations card.  Are you putting the cut off date on that card?  I was think about wording it like this, "Please reference the Smith wedding by July 10 to receive the special rate."

What do you think?  Put the date on or leave it off?  I guess I am afraid out of town guests might not jump on it and then if they did it too late they wouldn't get the reduced rate.

Include the date on the card, for the reason you stated- otherwise they may not get the reduced rate. Your hotel block would be pointless if you didn't tell your guests!

  • I would definitely include the date. They need to know so they don't miss out. It also might motivate them to jump on things and get the reservation made sooner.
  • my hotel gave me a date the rooms needed reserved by. You may want to check with the hotel to see how long they will hold the rooms.
  • My hotel's cut off date is 30 days before which I understand why they decide to do that.  I think it sounds like a pretty good idea to put it on the card.  I don't think I have seen it but I would hate for our out of town guests to not have a room booked with the reduced rate.   Thanks ladies!

  • I put the cut off date on ours :)  That way people would know when they needed to RSVP rooms if they wanted the block rate.
