FI and I had a HUGE planning weekend back home where the wedding will take place. I met vendors including hairstylist, florist and photographer and I am SO happy with my choices now that I've met each of them. I can breathe a sigh of relief on that!
We also ordered BM dresses and had a great counseling session with our pastors (at the church we both grew up in/where we met). I am getting so nostalgic and excited because the ceremony is an extremely special place for us. We also got to do a tasting at the reception venue and the food was INCREDIBLE! Like, so incredible that we were agonizing over which food to choose for our menu because everything we tasted was so good.
So now for my vent(s). It never ceases to amaze me how some people behave with regards to weddings...
1. My stepmom kindly informed me she has invited 5 friends to the ceremony but told them they can't come to the reception because there isn't enough room. "They just want to see you in your dress!" UGH... I don't even know these people!
2. An old friend from our church asked if we had mistakenly sent his invitation to his mother's house because "he has a new address to send his invitation to" and a new live-in girlfriend he "can't wait for us to meet at the wedding". Number one, we haven't even sent out invitations! Number two, he's not even on our guest list. Who does that?!! Aggghh!!
3. An update on b-party. Refresher: MOH invited mutual friend "Jane" to the BM-only, wine-tasting day event (evening event involves going out). I went out with some friends this weekend and MOH/Jane started talking about b-party events. Jane expressed that she actually doesn't want to be invited to the day event as it is just me and my BMs (Jane is not one) and she would be intruding. This whole time MOH has been insisting Jane be invited because MOH doesn't know the other BMs that well and wants a friend to hang out with. I'm really annoyed that MOH led me to believe Jane wanted to come and that it wouldn't be awkward. Now I'm freaking out even more! Grrr!!
Thanks for reading... if you've gotten this far, I'm impressed!
