Bra for strapless sweetheart dress...

My FMIL has picked up my dress from the tailor this weekend! Unfortunately, I have to wait to try it on until I'm back in the U.S. in April. Arrrggg.

Anyway, I need to have all my undergarments selected to try on with the dress in April, so I'm starting to look around for those. My dress is strapless with a deep sweetheart neckline and somewhate low back (see pics). It does not have a built in bra or cups.



Should I have cups added so I don't have to worry about a strapless bra? Or does anyone know of a great strapless bra (with low back) that I should check out? I've seen the ones that "stick" on you and are completely backless... anyone try those? Do they actually work? For reference, I am a C cup and def need a little support...

I just want to figure out something that will be easy and where I won't be worried about it slipping or showing throughout the day.

    I would definitely get cups added, that's what I'm going to do. I have tried the sticky ones that close in the front without a back from VS. They are okay, but if you sweat at all, they start to move a little bit. Although they don't have too far to move in a wedding dress :) It didn't really give me any support though, because it doesn't have boning in it. It just kinda sat there haha.

    I have a strapless dress too, and in the shop, they let me try it with some kind of corset, with a low back. It stayed in place very well, and was comfortable (enough) to wear. I plan on buying one when I have my first fitting, they sold them in the salon.

    I'm going with the link below. I was hoping to find something that wasn't as long, but I just couldn't find one. It looks pretty breathable so I won't get too hot. That is pretty much what they had me wear at the salon when trying it on.

    I'm not going to wear anything. My dress is tied up in the back though and my boobs fit perfectly. I tried on cups and it looked like my boobs were overflowing and I looked terrible! You should try several options and see what you are the most comfortable in.

    my dress has a built in corset with cups...i would highly recommend getting something built in to your dress. i think it would be fairly uncomfortable to have another layer underneath a heavy and tight dress, and the silicone stick on cups do not work well and i wouldn't rely on those underneath my wedding dress.

    I keep debating this...so I am just going to talk to the seamstress because I want to feel supported all day...I am a c or d cup depending the bra...I don't want to feel like I am going to pop out or under!

    I have a strapless sweetheart as well.  I'm going to purchase a longline bra. 

    I borrowed one and it really keeps the dress in place and gives a little more support.  I'm an A cup, and the longline bra I borrowed was and A cup, but I need a B cup bra just to make the dress look perfect (fill out the chest a tad more).

    The back on longline bras come down low.  I think Kohl's may have a Maidenform brand.  I'm waiting for a coupon to go try one on.
