Who did you rent you tuxes from??v and how far in advance should you rent them?

    My FI and his guys are doing Mens Wearhouse. It's easier because our friends are all over and this way they can go in their home town. My FI went and picked everything out already but hasn't been sized yet, we still have awhile.

    When you went to MW - did you make an appointment or can you just go in and play around with options?  Were you able to get the stuff set up?  When does your FI go to get fitted?   We're 6 months out, but we need to start looking at groomsman stuff, and were planning on that this weekend.

    We are using Sacino's off of Kennedy. They were very helpful in finding a tuxedo that actually fits my FI. He is extremely tall and skinny and that apparently makes it very difficult to find a tuxedo. We have already put in for his tuxedo months ago and our wedding is November, but our guys still need to be fitted. I think as long as you give 3 months you should be fine unless you are very particular on what you want.

    One nice thing about Sacino's is they actually ordered in FI size jacket so he could try it it to make sure it fit.

    Jtritch- My FI didn't have to make an appointment. He just went in, and he got to look through the styles of suits, colors of vests and ties, etc. He set up everything that day as far as how many tuxes will be needed (grandpas, dads, himself, and groomsmen). He mentioned that they told him everyone has to be fitted by December. We are getting married in March.

    You guys could probably go now, pick out the style and whatever you like, then go back 3 or 4 months before the wedding to be sized!

    I am getting married in October and we went to MW about 2 months ago.  We got my FI, dad, and FI's dad measured, but none of the GM's.  I was told we had up to a week before the wedding to get them sized....errrr, guess I better double check that.
