venue cost -shanty creeek

I recently purchased a copy of the knot mag and was looking at the venue cost for shanty creek- it is listed as $$ but if you pull up the menu it cost around 75+ a plate ( for a decent looking meal) and drinks are not that cheaper either - any idea why it's listed as is?



Also on another note - has any one had reception at grand traverse resort? is the food any good?

    I looked at Shanty Creek last summer as a possible venue for my May 2012 wedding.  When we toured there, they said that they were just now realizing how big the wedding industry was getting and they were planning on redoing their packages/menu for 2011.  It didn't used to cost anything for the ceremony or reception venue, you just had to meet certain minimums with food/beverage.  I have a feeling, based on the new menu and packages, that they raised prices quite a bit.  We didn't end up booking there but I still love going there to golf. :)
