Freeze Dried Rose Petals to Toss?

A month or so ago, I posted on here wondering about freeze dried roses for my bouquet and got a quick "no" because it would be crumbly. I'm assuming that if I got some freeze dried rose petals for the exit toss, there would be the same problem, right? I want rose petals, but I would like to save some money and order them online and not have to worry about them looking fresh. If the guests were to get them before we exited the church, they would probably just accidently crumble the petals in their hands and then the throw would look horrible, right?

EDIT: I don't want silk petals because this will be right outside of a historic chapel and I'm pretty sure we'd have to clean them up. I was originally going to go with bird seed, but a friend had bird seed and she said it was painful. LOL I've heard all the bad things about bubbles, also. =)

    I got fresh petals from freshrosepetals.com and had them delivered the Thursday before my wedding.

    What are bad things about bubbles?

    I haven't heard about fd crumbling, but it sounds like a legit concern. If you order them and have them arrive a few days early just keep them in the fridge.

    I've just heard that bubbles can <em>possibly</em> stain a dress, but the worst one I've heard is kind of extreme - a bubble popped on a photographers' lens and he didn't know and so a bunch of pictures were blurred. Nothing huge, bubbles seem like a good way to go, but part of my theme is yellow roses, so I want rose petals. =)

    Yeah they were fine.  I wish I would have ordered more though.  I used them on my cake table too.

    get a smsll bunch as a sample fromt he site you are considering, see how they deliver and how they hold up to wear and tear. If okay, then go for it! We will be using rose petals too, as our main flower is a red rose.

    Freeze dried rose petals are preserved petals and they do not require to be inside the fridge.I got some for  table centerpiece and petals came with instructions.They are good for 1 year. http://www.irosepetals.com/c-31-small-case-8-cups.aspx
