Bustle help

How would you bustle this dress?  I have a meeting with the seamstress that will be doing it tonight and I'm not sure what I want.

Here's the back of the dress:


Here's a side-view with a bustle the dress shop did up before I could tell them I'd be taking it elsewhere; I didn't really like it that much.


I thought it made my butt look kinda poofy.  Any advice you can offer would be great! TIA!

    Have you considered a side bustle?  It looks like you have a very pretty accent area on your right hip along with a bit of gathering around it so having a bustle hook up there would flow well.

    have her show you a ballroom bustle. Also ask her for her advise, a good seamstress will give you options & show you them.

    I think the bustle the way it is now looks fine, but I would talk to your seamstress and have her show you how the different styles will look until you're happy with it.

    Thanks for the advice ladies!  The seamstress went great last night!  She showed me 2 bustles - the first was a pin over the dress that I didn't really like (I think it was an American bustle?" and the second one was a French bustle that was pinned asymmetrically to the side that looks REALLY good with the front of my dress.  I'd post a picture, but my mom took them on her phone and hasn't sent them to me yet.
