  We went to Dreams PV over Cabo---
  simply bc you can't go in the ocean right in front of Cabo.
  I'm sure both resorts are one in the same.
  The beach at Dreams PV is really small- but you can swim, kayak, etc.
  It's nice because it's outside of the town- cab ride close, but away from the hustle and bustle.

  Thanks!  It is also cheaper :-)  Did you stay in the newer tower?  Would you go back?  Did you really like it?  The reviews say the people that work there are just amazing!

  We stayed at Dreams Los Cabos, and it's true that you can't go in the water right there but it's a 10-15 minute walk to a swimming beach.  It's hard to make a comparison since I haven't been to PV, but I'm sure they're both just as nice.  I would probably just read a lot of Trip Advisor reviews and go with my (and my FI's) gut. 
  
  We went with Cabo because we knew more people who had been there and raved about it, and the flight was shorter.  So it was really nothing against Puerto Vallarta!

  Yea-- we LOVED It!  The beach is in between two bluff's- small but very secluded!
  Dreams and Secrets are great- very modern and very attentive. 
  
  You'll love either one you chose!
