Wedding Ceremony & Reception Music Discussions

Would it be tacky?

I am trying to find ceremony music, and I am not really into the traditional piano playing ceremony music. I was possibly thinking Kenny G as guests are arriving and waiting and then doing the traditional canon in d as I walk down. Any thoughts?

Do it. We did classical for most of it but added our own spin by having me walk down the aisle to Moon River  ( <3<3<3 ) and we walked out to Star Wars' Throne Room.

My plan is to walk down the aisle to Marry Me by Train...I am not into the piano thing either or even the Here Comes the bride song.

It's your wedding do what will make it special for you. We are having one location so the DJ will be playing music that is special to us but doesn't really fit into the reception while guests are arriving.

Thanks for all of the support. We are actually using Marry Me by train as our first song to dance to!

If you really wanted to make a bold statement, you could pick a piece like Stravinsky's "Firebird".  It is probably the most beautiful, epic, amazing piece of music ever written.  It's long, so you would have plenty of places in the piece to pick from.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FWq17CT6Cs
