Fall flower scheme?

Do the boutineres (sp?) have to match the bride's boquet?  If anyone has any suggestions (pictures would be soooo amaing) as to how to create a fall theme to my flowers (bridesmaids, groomsmen, bride, and groom) without them all having to match, that would be awesome and extremely helpful.

    We used a bunch of chocolate roses, red roses, mango calla lilies, green cymbidium orchids and hypericum berries in our bouquets.  Our groomsmen didn't actually have bouts - we had a private ceremony and their jackets would undoubtedly be off at the reception so we skipped them in favor of a pocket square to match the bridesmaid dresses. 

    DH's bout was a mango calla lily, any guys of honor (grandpas, reader, etc.) got a red rose.  Ladies of Honor (grandmas readers, etc.) got white cymbidium orchids.  Moms carried small bouquets of a white flower I can't recall now but we did it that way so they could put their flowers down and they wouldn't get crushed while they were greeting/hugging guests.  Worked great!
