Why does this happen to me?!

I have a HORRIBLE rash across the front of my neck! I work with radioactive materials in the lab quite frequently, which requires me to wear a lab coat and a lead vest...which leads to me getting all sweaty and my skin breaking out. The skin on my hands also tends to break out from wearing gloves for a long period of time (and they're not even latex, they're nitrile), again because my hands get sweaty. My doctor told me before that it's probably a fungal infection (gross, sorry TMI), and I just have to use the over the counter stuff. It took me FOREVER to get rid of this last time, and I only have 11 days left! Why, oh WHY, did this have to happen NOW?

Ugh, I am so sorry!!! This might not help at all but I have a really itchy scalp (gross, I know) and one of our clients at the office is a doctor and she said that it's probably a type of fungal issue (super gross, I know, but I'm not a super gross girl). My sister suggested using baking soda to help with the problem so I've been putting a small amount of baking soda in with my shampoo and I haven't had an itchy scalp since doing that. So if it's related to a type of fungus, the baking soda might have helped reduced it. Maybe you could try washing with a bit of baking soda and see if that helps any! Might not but I can't imagine that it would hurt any but if it does please, please, please do not blame me

I think I'll have to try that! Trust me, I'm a very hygenic person...I don't know why I have this issue! Ugh. Thanks for sharing your issue, too...makes me feel like less of a freak, lol

yeast skin infections have nothing to do with hygiene! It could be diet, stress, birth control pills, other medications, etc.

what helped mine tremendously was tea tree oil. it's a powerful, natural anti-fungal/antiseptic. It's too strong to put on straight so mix it maybe 50-50 or (less on the tea tree) with olive or vitamin E oil and apply that to your skin. My skin has improved so much since I started using it and I use a 9 to 1 mixture of olive/tea tree oil on my skin daily as maintenance now. better than any lotion I've ever used.

I think we have some tea tree oil in a cabinet somewhere, I'll have to look!
