Need a student photographer, NYC, Long Island area

Hi everyone,started looking for a photographer for my Sept 2012 wedding. What I found out is that most of them charge ridiculously high orices for mostly mediocre job (those that aren't complacent are 3000+). I can't spend more than 1400$ on photography. Please if anyone knows a student photographer or where to find one reply to my post.

Look at local schools like NYU, NY Institute of Photography, NY Film Academy etc and inquire if any student is interested.If you're not looking for albums then your budget may work. Best of luck!

From a photographer's point of view, there are a lot of photographers that will be willing to work with your budget, especially if it is off season. Check online for some new photographers or experienced photographers trying to break into the wedding business. It always doesn't hurt to ask photographers you love if they are willing to work with your budget!
