Rehearsal Cocktail Party Invitation wording

Hi Ladies,

I am looking for your help with the wording for my rehearsal cocktail party wording-

First- am I calling it the correct thing?  It's appatizers only (there will be plenty of food for evenyone to fill up on and I made sure to do some healthy food and some more savery items).  BUT my venue only allowes beer and wine so it's not really "cocktail"

Thoughts on a title?

Second-  We are inviting out extended family that is traveling for the wedding and I'm not really sure what to include on the invitation.  I've never acutally been to a RD before.   I am making the invitation on my computer and will have them professional printed.

Suggestions on wording?

    My MIL handled the RD and she bought the invites at Party City and hand wrote in the details just like you do a birthday party invitation or something.

    Our RD was only heavy apps/hou'dourves as well. And we offered red and white wine, any other drinks were a cash bar more or less.

    Missy Sue do you have a picture?  I'd love to see what she did.  My MIL told me it was all in my hands and they would pay for it (which is find because it's 8 hours away in a town shes never been anywhere near).  But I don't really know how to word everything.

    Just keep it simple.  If you have a rehearsal at your ceremony site, make sure you include those details if need be so people have the location and time.  Then just say something like "Please join us for drinks and hors d'oeuvres following the rehearsal at such and such place at this time"

    My friend did a rehearsal similar to what you suggest and it was fine.  So long as there is enough food for the hungrier crowd and enough tables for them to get to so they can handle their plates and drinks then you're set!  Enjoy!

    And what I wanted to also add was - don't get caught up calling it something in particular - like a "cocktail party" - just an invitation stating you're invited to a dinner/party/rehearsal celebration is fine.  The information that guests need to get there at the correct time is most important.
