Dumb Question

This is a dumb question, but what are the ranges of what we should be expecting to pay for a DJ?  I'm not sure what reasonable is or what to expect.  Thanks

Well, everyone charges different amounts based on experience, date, etc.

I got a deal for  $875 for the ceremony + wedding (in the same location)..and i found that most people I looked at were right around 1,000 (although I saw a few that were more expensive)

We spent $995 for ceremony, cocktail hour, and of course the reception. I thought it was a reasonable price.

I just went through this process. We found them from $600 to $1,000. We ended up hiring one for $595. They gave us the "Bridal Show" discount, otherwise it would have been $695. (Reception only.)

Read what they offer closely... I found that a lot of times the $1,000 DJs offered the same OR LESS than the $600 guys.

    Good luck!

Ours is $1000 and includes cocktail hour, reception, and dance floor lighting. There was one that we really really liked but their price was way too high for us.

Ours is 995 for everything, but we have found some that are as cheap as 100 per hour. Really, it is going to depend on the equipment, whether they are respected in the industry, and whether or not they come off as cheesy. If you need recommendations, look at the 1st sticky, where all of the intros are posted. We all have our vendors listed there.
